Salsiccia is a raw pork sausage variety that can only be consumed after cooking. It consists of small sausages strung together.
The Italian Salsiccia has a shiny casing through which you can see the brightly red meats mixed with white lard bits. The paste is finely ground and spices are not noticeable. It is usually consumed within 1 to 5 days after production.
